A1301 safety update from Urban&Civic - new variable message signs

We take the safety and wellbeing of road users and our workforce very seriously. As part of the traffic management arrangements, we have introduced three variable message signs (VMS) along the roadworks to help keep motorists driving safely and to protect our workers who are in daily proximity to the carriageway.

VMS are digital signs that display a message in response to each driver’s speed in relation to the 30mph speed limit that will remain in place for the duration of the works. Thank you for heeding to the safe speed.
